Lytchett RDA is a member group of the national Riding for the Disabled Association which gives people with a wide range of disabilities the opportunity to ride for therapy and enjoyment.
We are a small group of volunteers who meet every Thursday and Friday morning in school term time at Rushall Park Riding Stables in Corfe Mullen, Dorset.
We borrow ponies from the stables to run sessions every week for around 15 local disabled children aged between 3 and 8 years. Most of our riders are students at Montacute School in Poole, a school for children with complex learning difficulties or disabilities.
We also work with local children of pre-school age, encouraging gentle exercises and simple games with our colourful play equipment.
